Front exhaust manifold: Removal - Refitting

refrigerant charging station
Tightening torquesm
exhaust manifold studs
exhaust manifold nuts
IMPORTANT
Wear protective gloves during the operation.
REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Re-
fitting) (80A, Battery).
a Drain the refrigerant circuit using a refrigerant
charging station (see Refrigerant circuit: Drain-
ing - Filling) (62A, Air conditioning).
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray,
- the front catalytic pre-converter (see Front catalyt-
ic pre-converter: Removal - Refitting) .
FUEL MIXTURE
15 Nm
31 N.m

a Disconnect the front row upstream oxygen sensor
connector (1) .
a Unclip the front row upstream oxygen sensor from
its support.
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the nuts (2) from the front exhaust manifold,
- the front exhaust manifold,
- the front exhaust manifold gasket.
