Cylinder head: Removal - Refitting

a Remove:
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) ,
- Depending on the version, the catalytic pre-con-
verter or the catalytic converter at the turbocharger
outlet (see 19B, Exhaust, Catalytic pre-convert-
er: Removal - Refitting, page 19B-22) or (see
19B, Exhaust, Catalytic converter: Removal -
Refitting, page 19B-32) ,
- the turbocharger oil pipes (see 12B, Turbocharg-
ing, Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting,
page 12B-35) ,
- the vacuum pump (see Vacuum pump: Removal
- Refitting) ,
- the high pressure pipe between the pump and the
rail (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pressure
pipe between pump and rail: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-140) ,
- the oil decanter (see 11A, Top and front of en-
gine, Oil decanter: Removal - Refitting, page
11A-307) ,
- the diesel return rail (see 13B, Diesel injection,
Diesel injector fuel return rail: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-108) ,
- the high pressure pipes between the rail and the in-
jectors (see 13B, Diesel injection, High pressure
pipe between rail and injector: Removal - Refit-
ting, page 13B-161) ,
- the diesel injectors (see 13B, Diesel injection,

229) ,
- the rocker cover (see 11A, Top and front of en-

a Disconnect the high pressure pump fuel collection
pipe (1) from the fuel collector outlet pipe (2) of the
cylinder head.
a Remove the fuel collector outlet pipe (2) from the
cylinder head.
M9R, and 742 or 744 or 746 or 748
a Remove:
- the « oil filler cap - dipstick » assembly (3) ,
- the dipstick guide bolt (4) ,
