CHECK
I - PREPARATION OPERATION FOR CHECK
a Remove:
- the engine cover,
- the inlet manifold (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Inlet
distributor: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-75) ,
- the ignition coils (see 17A, Ignition, Coils: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 17A-1) ,
- the spark plugs (see 17A, Ignition, Plugs: Re-
moval - Refitting, page 17A-10) .
a Connect the petrol compression gauge available
from the Garage equipment catalogue.
a Open the discharge valve (2) of the petrol compres-
sion gauge to release the pressure.
a Close the discharge valve (2) of the petrol compres-
sion gauge.
a Connect a self-contained starter available from the
Garage equipment catalogue.
a Switch on the forced + after ignition.
a Connect the Diagnostic tool.
a In the Diagnostic tool :
- select the repair mode,
- select erase mode,
- select reset programming mode,
- run command RZ009: VEHICLE FUNCTIONS
PROGRAMMING,
- select other configurations mode,
- run command VP036: FUEL SUPPLY INHIBI-
TION,
a Put the vehicle under starting conditions:
- gear lever position P (Park),
- brake pedal depressed.
II - TEST OPERATION
a Press the vehicle start button to trigger the engine
starting phase.
