Rear inlet distributor: Removal - Refitting

II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove:
- the intake distributor bolts (19) on the back row,
- the intake distributor on the back row,
- the intake distributor seal on the back row.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a parts always to be replaced: inlet distributor seal
(10,07,01,07).
a Always replace:
- the inter-cylinder head intake distributor seals, tim-
ing end,
- the inter-cylinder head intake distributor seals on
the gearbox side,
- the inter-cylinder head cooling pipe seals,
- the rigid cooling pipe seal at the inter-cylinder head
cooling pipe outlet.
a Clean and degrease using SURFACE CLEANER
(see Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the re-
pair) (04B, Consumables - Products) the joint face
between the intake distributor and the cylinder head.

II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
a Refit:
- a new intake distributor seal on the back row,
- the intake distributor on the back row.
a Torque tighten in order the intake distributor bolts
on the back row (32 N.m).
III - FINAL OPERATION
a Refit the oil vapour rebreathing diaphragm.
a Connect the oil vapour rebreathing hose to the oil
vapour rebreathing diaphragm.
a Fit the oil vapour rebreathing hose clip on to the oil
vapour rebreathing diaphragm.
a Torque tighten the oil vapour rebreathing dia-
phragm bolts (10 N.m).
a Refit the fuel pipe support.
a Refit:
- the fuel pipe support,
- the high-pressure pipe bolt between the rails,
- new seals on the inter-cylinder head intake distrib-
utor, timing end,
- the inter-cylinder head intake distributor, timing
end.
a Position the support on the exhaust gas cooler con-
trol solenoid valve.
