Rear inlet distributor: Removal - Refitting

a Refit the support on the exhaust gas cooler control
solenoid valve.
a Fit:
- the wiring from the pre-heater plugs on the back
row,
- the diesel return pipe.
a Clip:
- the wiring from the pre-heater plugs on the back
row,
- the diesel return pipe.
a Refit:
- new seals on the inter-cylinder head intake distrib-
utor, on the gearbox side,
- the inter-cylinder head intake distributor on the
gearbox side,
- the cooling pipe support at the expansion bottle
outlet,
- new inter-cylinder head cooling pipe seals,
- the inter-cylinder head cooling pipe.
a Torque tighten the inter-cylinder head cooling
pipe bolts (12 N.m).
a Connect the coolant temperature sensor connector.
a Refit:
- a new rigid cooling pipe seal at the inter-cylinder
head cooling pipe outlet,
- the rigid cooling pipe at the inter-cylinder head
cooling pipe outlet.
a Connect the cooling hose clip between the expan-
sion bottle and the inter-cylinder head pipe.
a Fit the cooling hose clip between the expansion bot-
tle and the inter-cylinder head pipe using the (Mot.
1448).
a Connect the cooling hose to the exhaust fuel injector
cooler.
a Fit the clip onto the cooling hose at the exhaust fuel
injector cooler using the (Mot. 1448).
a Connect the heater matrix outlet cooling hose.
a Clip on the heater matrix outlet cooling hose.
a Refit:
- the exhaust manifold heat shield,
- the turbocharger (see 12B, Turbocharging, Tur-
bocharger: Removal - Refitting, page 12B-4) ,

- the turbocharger oil pipes (see 12B, Turbocharg-
ing, Turbocharger oil pipe: Removal - Refitting,
page 12B-35) ,
- the lower engine tie-bars (see 1 9 D, Engine
mounting, Lower engine tie-bar: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 19D-85) ,
- the thermostat (see 19A, Cooling, Thermostat:
Removal - Refitting, page 19A-89) ,
- the coolant outlet unit (see 19A, Cooling, Water
chamber: Removal - Refitting, page 19A-100) ,
- the engine undertray,
- the air filter unit (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Air filter
unit: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-13) ,
- the exhaust gas recirculation rigid pipe (see 14A,
Antipollution, Exhaust gas recirculation rigid
pipe: Removal - Refitting, page 14A-62) ,
- the damper valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Damp-
er valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-39) .
a Fill and bleed the cooling system (see 19A, Cool-
ing, Cooling system: Draining - Refilling, page
19A-16) .
a Refit the engine cover.
a Connect the battery (see Battery: Removal - Refit-
ting) (80A, Battery).
