Inlet distributor: Removal - Refitting

a Disconnect:
- the fuel injector connectors (6) ,
- the upstream oxygen sensor connector.
a Remove the fuel injector wiring.
a Remove:
- the dipstick guide tube bolt (7) ,
- the throttle valve (see 12A, Fuel mixture, Throttle
valve: Removal - Refitting, page 12A-49) .

II - REMOVAL OPERATION FOR PART

Note:
The intake distributor bolts are not the same
length, mark their position.
a Remove:
- the cylinder head support bolt (8) on the intake dis-
tributor,
- the intake distributor bolts (9) ,
- the right-hand suspended engine mounting bolt
(10) on the intake distributor,
- the intake distributor,
- the intake distributor seal.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATIONS OPERATION
a Always replace the inlet manifold seal.
a Use SURFACE CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts
and consumables for the repair) (MR 415, 04B,
Consumables - Products) to clean and degrease:
- the cylinder head gasket face,
- the intake distributor joint face if reused.
When replacing the intake distributor
a Remove:
- the oil vapour heater bolt,
- the oil vapour heater,
- the oil vapour heater seals,
