REMOVAL
I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (MR 415, 02A, Lifting equip-
ment).
a Remove:
- the engine undertray bolts,
- the engine undertray.
a Drain the engine oil (see 10A, Engine and cylinder
block assembly, Engine oil: Draining - Refilling,
page 10A-100) .
II - OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART
CONCERNED
a Remove the sump bolts in order.
10 Nm
a Detach the sump using the (Mot. 1716).
a Remove the sump.
Note:
Note the quantity of oil in the sump.
REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Apply SUPER CLEANER FOR JOINT FACES (see
Vehicle: Parts and consumables for the repair)
(MR 415, 04B, Consumables - Products) to the parts
to be cleaned.
IMPORTANT
Wear latex gloves during the operation.
a Leave for approximately ten minutes.
a Remove the residue using a wooden spatula.
a Finish cleaning the parts with an ABRASIVE PAD.
a Degrease and clean the joint faces with SURFACE
CLEANER (see Vehicle: Parts and consumables
for the repair) (MR 415, 04B, Consumables - Prod-
ucts).
WARNING

The joint faces must be clean, dry and free from
grease (avoid finger marks).
