the flange that was ground away (Fig. 1 1 ) .

Pull the roller retainer down as far as possible
and cut it with a pair of side cutters and remove from
the assembly (Fig. 12).
(6) Remove roller bearing cup from axle shaft.
(7) Using Tool C-3971, remove the bearing cone.
Tighten the bolts alternately until the cone is
re-
moved (Fig. 13).

Replace the seal in the retainer plate.
