Tail
Gate Lock Cylinder Replacement
To replace the tail gate lock cylinder assembly (Fig.
59)
it is
first
necessary to remove the tail gate glass
and regulator to gain access to the lock cylinder re-
tainer (horseshoe type).

Gate Regulator Handle
the inner tail gate panel and remove the three nuts at-
taching the handle to the outer panel.
To remove a handle which is inoperative and the
vehicle is fully loaded, prohibiting access to the in-
ner panel, the handle can be removed by drilling out
the mounting studs of the handle. Refer to Figure
60, 61 and
62
for the location of the drilling points.
With the handle in the unlocked position, remove
