Install the diaphragm and valve assembly into
the rear cover.
(21) Align the scribe marks and place the front
cover over the bellows and master cylinder push rod.

Align and squeeze the cover and housing to-
gether, install the clamp band and tighten the clamp
bolt.

Pull the lip of the bellows up through the front
housing.
(24)
Clean the filter and the breather.
(25)
Make sure the master cylinder piston stop and
screw are installed in the lower hole on the master
cylinder mounting face.
Install the master cylinder
on the power brake unit, install the four nuts and

tighten to 100 inch-pounds.
Installation
(1) Install the power brake unit on the dash, then
install the attaching nuts and washers. Tighten se-
curely.
(2)
Install the bolt that connects the power brake
push rod with the brake pedal linkage. Tighten se-
curely.
(3)
Connect the vacuum hose to the unit and con-
nect the hydraulic brake tube.
(4)
Fill the master cylinder and bleed the brakes.
Refill the master cylinder after bleeding.
(5)
Readjust the stop light switch if necessary.
