centerline of the lower control inner pivot shaft. Re-
move the nut cotter pin and select the proper sleeve
to fit over the hex of the nut (Fig. 9).
(2) Hang the 36 inch middle gauge over the top of
the torsion bars (using a ?4" diameter pin) immediately
in front of the rear anchor boot. Set as closely as pos-
sible to 2" in front of the forward face of the rear
crossmember of the stub frame (Fig. 10).
(3) The rear frame gauge is suspended from the
centerline of the front eye bolt of the rear spring.
(The attached rod eye and/or adapter sleeve fits over
the outboard hex of the bolt or nut as the case may

of the attaching rods must
be placed
outboard of their respective attaching positions
so
that
by
closing the self centering gauges and tight-
ening the center wing screw the gauges will not
fall off.

Place the long aluminum checking bars over the
No.
2
and No. 3 hanging gauges, and the short bars
over No. 1 and No. 2 gauges so that they overlap ap-
proximately 15 to 20 inches (Figs. 14 and 15).
The
Number 1 body outrigger should be shimmed until
the check bars are in line. The diagrams indicate the
conditions for removal and/or addition of shims. Both
sides should be within
of each other.
