glass upward until the glass is firmly seated into the
weatherstrip.
(7)
Close the door and inspect the fore and aft
seal. Readjust if not satisfactory.
( 8 )
Roll the glass down until the front of the glass
is even with or slightly below the belt line. Tighten
the down stop on the regulator plate.
(9) Operate the window and inspect alignment and
ease of operation.
(10) Install the water shield, trim panel and hard-
ware.
Adjustments (AVP29 Models)
(1)
With the hardware, trim panel and watershield
removed, run the quarter glass up to within 1 inch of
the roof rail weatherstrip and adjust the upper guide
channel attachment
so
the rear of the glass lightly
touches the weatherstrip just above the belt line.
(2)
Adjust the upper front track (Fig.
115) so
the
front of the glass is aligned with the rear of the front
door glass at the belt line. To move the glass inboard
turn the sleeve nut clockwise and to move the glass
outboard, turn the sleeve nut counterclockwise.
(3) Adjust the lower front track
so
the front of the
glass is aligned with the rear of the front door glass
at the top. To move the glass inboard move the track
out and to move the glass outboard, move the track
in.
(4)
Run the glass up and adjust the regulator and
pivot bracket so the front edge of the glass is parallel
to the rear of the front door glass.
(5)
Adjust the front upper track attachment
so
the
weatherstrip of the quarter glass is forward against
