aiutondosi con un fila do saldotura piegato.

b Free the fork leg from the vice and drain the oil.
e. Pull up the 8uter tube [9, Tab. AI and remove the seal holder

d. Fasten the base

Tab. AI part of the leg in the vice. Use soft jaws! Remove the
base valve screw (1 1, fig. B). Pump out the remaining oil and pull out the complete
shock absorber unit.
e Pull the compression spring [ 12, Tab. AI and the free piston out [13, Tab. AI with a
bent welding wire.
f.
Fasten the cylinder tube [ 14, Tab. AI in a vice using tool
787-01.
g Remove the seal head (15 , Tab. AI using tool 784-04, and pull out the complete
piston rod [ 16, Tab. AI.
h. Remove the piston

and the shims

from the piston rod

and the base valve (II, fig. BI. Place the shims In their correct position on
the work bench.

Clean the parts thoroughly and dry with co~pressed air.
