ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS; CB600FA)
3. Speed Sensor Line Short Circuit Inspection (at
control unit side)
Remove the following:
- seat (page 2-4)
- right side cover (page 2-4)
Disconnect the ABS modulator 25P connector
and the speed sensor 2P (Green) connector.
Check for continuity between the Pink/white wire
terminal of the connector and ground. and
between the Green/red wire terminal of the con•
nector and ground.
TOOL:
Test probe
CONNECTION: Pink/white - Ground
Is there continuity?
YES
NO
4. Speed Sensor Line Short Circuit Inspection (at
sensor side)
Check for continuity between each terminal
(Black and White) of the sensor side 2P connec­
tor and ground in the same manner as the previ­
ous step.
CONNECTION: Black
I:; thi,ri, continuity?
YES
NO
5. Speed Sensor Line Open Circuit Inspection
Short the Pink/white and Green/red wire termi­
nals of the 25P connector with a jumper wire.
Check for continuity between the terminals of
the wire harness side sensor 2P (Green) connec­
tor.
CONNECTION: Black
Is there continuity?
YES
NO

Green/red - Ground
- Short circuit in wire between the ABS
modulator and speed sensor.
- GO TO STEP 4.
- Ground
White - Ground
- Faulty rear wheel speed sensor.
- GO TO STEP 5.
- White
- GO TO STEP 6.
- Open circuit in wire between the ABS
modulator and speed sensor.
