FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
DTC 7-2 (ECT SENSOR HIGH
VOLTAGE)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the ECT sensor 3P (Black) con­
nector and ECM 33P connectors, then recheck
the OTC.
1. ECT Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch
Check the ECT sensor with the HOS pocket
tester.
ts about 5 Vindicated?
YES
NO
2. ECT Sensor Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the ECT sensor 3P (Black) connector.
Connect the ECT sensor terminals with a jumper
wire.
CONNECTION: Pink/white
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch
Check the ECT sensor with the HOS pocket
tester.
Is about O Vindicated?
YES
NO
3. ECT Sensor Output Line Inspection
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Remove the jumper wire.
Disconnect the ECM 33P connectors.
Check the continuity between the ECM connec­
tors and ECT sensor connector of the wire har­
ness side.
CONNECTION: 813 - Pink/white
TOOL:
Test probe
Are there continuities?
YES
NO

- GO TO STEP 2.
- Intermittent failure
- Green/orange

- Inspect the ECT sensor (page 20-15).
- GO TO STCP 3.

- Replace the ECM with new one, and
recheck: refer to Key Registration Proce­
dures (page 21-6)
- • Open circuit in Pink/white wire
• Open circuit in Green/orange wire
