FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
4. MAP Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspec­
tion
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Check for continuity between the MAP sensor 3P
(Black) connector terminal of the wire harness
side and ground.
CONNECTION: light green/yellow
Is there continuity7
YES
NO
5. MAP Sensor Inspection
Replace the MAP sensor with a known good one
(page 5-93).
Clear the ECM self-diagnosis memory data (page
5-14).
Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop
switch
Check the MAP sensor with the HDS pocket
tester.
Is OTC 1-1 indicated?
YES
NO
OTC 1-2 (MAP SENSOR HIGH
VOLTAGE)
• Before starting the inspection, check for loose or
poor contact on the MAP sensor 3P (Black) con­
nector and ECM 33P connectors, then recheck
the DTC.

Is about 5 Vindicated?
YES
NO
