SYSTEM TESTING
COOLANT (HYDROMETER TEST)
Lift and support the fuel tank (page 3-5).
Remove the radiator cap.
Always let the
engine and rad,aror
cool down before
removing the
radiaror cap.
Disconnect the #4 spark plug cap.
Remove the bolt and pull out the filler neck.
Test the coolant gravity using a hydrometer (see
below for "Coolant gravity chart").
For maximum corrosion protection, a 50- 50% solu­
tion of ethylene glycol and distilled water is recom­
mended (page 6-6).
Look for contamination and replace the coolant if
necessary.
