2.3.2 Mounting the Chassis on a Rack

Make sure that nothing obstructs the airflow of the chassis.
• If you are facing the OLT front panel, the fan tray located in the left of the OLT chassis houses fans to
blow air for ventilation. Cool air enters the chassis through intake vents on the left side panel and flows
towards the right side where it exits.

Use the following procedure to install the chassis in the rack.
Position a mounting bracket on one side of the chassis, making sure the screw holes on the bracket are

on the same side as the front panel of the chassis.
Use the screwdriver to install the screws through the mounting bracket holes into the chassis.

Position a mounting bracket (that is already attached to the chassis) on one side of the rack, lining up

the screw holes on the bracket with the screw holes on the side of the rack.
Use the screwdriver to install the screws through the mounting bracket holes into the rack.
