54.9 Slot Setup

The following table describes the commands for configuring the OLT slots.

54.9.1 Slot Setup Commands Examples

The following commands set slot 3 to use the installed GPON line card.
OLT2406# configure
OLT2406(config)# interface slot slot-3
Configure the card type. This example configures it for a GPON line card.
OLT2406(config-slot)# cardtype gpon
Enable the slot.
OLT2406(config-slot)# no inactive
Exit from the slot configuration .
OLT2406(config-slot)# exit
After the GPON line card is installed and activated, use the following commands to display the status of
the specified interface or slot status.

DESCRIPTION
Selects the slot to configure.
Sets the card type to use in the slot (use the type
of line card you install in the slot).
Enables the slot.
Disables the slot.
Leaves the slot configuration sub-commands.
Removes the slot configuration of the specified
slot.
Removes all slot configuration.
Displays the status of the specified interface.
