Link Layer Discovery Protocol
(LLDP), defined as IEEE 802.1ab,
enables LAN devices that support
LLDP to exchange their configured
settings. This helps eliminate
configuration mismatch issues.

device operating parameters (such
as transceiver temperature, laser
bias current, transmitted optical
power, received optical power and
transceiver supply voltage) is above
or below a factory set normal
range.
