LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Behavior
Select Snooping to use the IGMP/MLD snooping mechanism for multicast VLAN traffic in this
MVR network. IGMP/MLD snooping enables the OLT to handle multicast traffic more efficiently
and effectively.
Select Proxy to use the IGMP/MLD proxy mechanism for multicast VLAN traffic in this MVR
network. Select this to have the OLT reduce multicast traffic by sending IGMP/MLD host
messages to a multicast router or server on behalf of all multicast hosts connected to the OLT.
Apply
Click Apply to save your changes to the OLT's run-time memory. The OLT loses these changes if
it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your
changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel
Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
Active
Select this check box to enable MVR to allow one single multicast VLAN to be shared among
different subscriber VLANs on the network.
Name
Enter a descriptive name (up to 32 printable ASCII characters) for identification purposes.
Multicast VLAN ID
Enter the VLAN ID (1 to 4094) of the multicast VLAN.
802.1p Priority
Select a priority level (0-7) with which the OLT replaces the priority in outgoing IGMP or MLD

Mode
Specify the MVR mode on the OLT. Choices are Dynamic and Compatible.
Select Dynamic to send IGMP reports or MLD messages to all MVR source ports in the multicast
VLAN.
Select Compatible to set the OLT not to send IGMP reports or MLD messages.
Port
This field displays the port number.
*
Settings in this row apply to all ports.
Use this row only if you want to make some settings the same for all ports. Use this row first to set
the common settings and then make adjustments on a port-by-port basis.
Note: Changes in this row are copied to all the ports as soon as you make them.
Source Port
Select this option to set this port as the MVR source port that sends and receives multicast
traffic. All source ports must belong to a single multicast VLAN.
Receiver Port
Select this option to set this port as a receiver port that only receives multicast traffic.
None
Select this option to set the port not to participate in MVR. No MVR multicast traffic is sent or
received on this port.
Tagging
Select this checkbox if you want the port to tag the VLAN ID in all outgoing frames transmitted.
Add
Click this to create a new entry or to update an existing one.
This saves your changes to the OLT's run-time memory. The OLT loses these changes if it is turned
off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to save your changes to the
non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Cancel
Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
