2.28.6 FDA drive control of tractors "BELARUS-82.1" with canopy frame or canopy base
on the basis of a small cabin
FDA drive control handle 1 (figure 2.28.8) has three fixed positions:
- "FDA off" – the lower most position. This position is used during hauling opera-
tions on hard-surface roads;
- "FDA automatically engages and disengages" – middle position. In this mode au-
tomatic FDA engagement and disengagement occurs with the help of the free travel clutch
depending on the rear wheels skidding. Use when performing various field operations;
- "FDA positively activated" – the upper most position. Use this mode only in cases
of constant skidding of rear wheels and during reverse movement, when FDA engagement
is required.
Engage the FDA drive in the positions "FDA automatically engages and disengages"
and "FDA is positively activated" when the tractor gets going.
Transfer the FDA drive from positions "FDA automatically engages and disengag-
es" and "FDA positively activated" to the position "FDA off" at the moment when the tractor
gets going with the clutch pedal depressed. If disengagement of the FDA drive is ham-
pered, do not apply force to the control handle and follow these steps:
- depress the clutch pedal;
- shift the gear to move in the direction, opposite to the working one (that is if for-
ward movement gear was engaged, engage reverse gear and vice versa);
- smoothly release the clutch pedal and at the moment of starting shift the control
handle to the position "FDA off".

WHEEL TYRES!
TRACTOR OPERATION WITH THE FDA DRIVE ENGAGED AT A TRAVEL
SPEED HIGHER THAN 13 KM/H IS FORBIDDEN.
ATTENTION: VIOLATION OF THE RULES FOR THE USE OF THE FDA DRIVE
CONTROL MODES CAN LEAD TO THE FDA AND TRANSMISSION PARTS BREAK-
DOWN!
