1. Total astronomical engine operating time in hours.
MI in the failures report display mode
1. Diagnostic of operation performance and speed sensors connection:
If there are no signals from the speed sensors within 10-12 seconds a report in the
form of digit "0" is displayed on LC-display, characterizing the location of faulty sensor (left
or right).
Report about failure appears by priority on LC-display regardless of the displayed
data. When you press button "Mode" the display goes into the mode of displaying the
above indicated operation parameters.
Display of failure report on LC-display occurs each time the instrument is switched
on until the cause of the failure is eliminated.

2.26.3 Pilot lamps of multifunctional indicator unit

ATTENTION: PILOT LAMP-ANNUCIATORS TURN ON AND OFF SYNCHRONOUS
WITH CHANGING OF SYSTEM SENSORS STATUS!
а) 5 (figure 2.26.1) – pilot lamp-indicator of road lights upper beam switching.
b) 6, 7 (figure 2.26.1) – tractor and tractor trailer turn indicators lights switching. Op-
erates in blinking mode when right or left turn indicator is switched on by multifunctional
underwheel switch 10 (figure 2.26.1) or when emergency flashing switch is on.
c) 8 (figure 2.26.1) – pilot lamp-annunciator of parking brake switch. Annunciator
"Parking brake" operates in blinking mode with frequency 1 Hz - when parking brake sen-
sor switch actuates.
d) 9 (figure 2.26.1) – pilot lamp-annunciator of on-board network overvoltage. It turns
on when tractor on-board network supply voltage rises above 19V and turns off when supply
voltage level drops to 17V;
In this case MIU turns off completely and restores operation performance when
voltage drops to rated voltage value of the on-board network.

2.26.4 Description of instrument operation check

In MIU with each power connection, operation of needle indicators and PTO indica-
tor scale elements is checked. In this case within not more than one second indicator nee-
dles deviate from initial scale marks beyond the next first digitized scales marks (beyond
"5" for speed and beyond "10" for revolutions), and all sections and PTO scale symbols
"540" and "1000" turn on.
The sensor accumulates information about total engine op-
erating time by the alternator phase winding signal and
stores it when the power is off. The indications range is from
0 to 99999 engine run hours.
2. Engine operating time for the chosen period.
In this mode engine operating time with accuracy up to 1/10 of an hour for
the chosen period of operation is displayed. When necessary the value of
the sensor can be reset to zero by pressing and holding button "Mode" for
not less than 2 seconds.
