3.7.4 Adjustment of parking brake control

Check of the parking brake performance efficiency is that the tractor should be kept
on a slope for not less than 18% when a force not more than 400 N is applied to parking
brake control lever 1 (figure 3.7.6). In case this condition is not fulfilled it is necessary to
carry out adjustment of the parking brake control.
Before carrying out adjustment of the parking brakes control place the tractor on the
level horizontal ground. The engine should be killed. Block the wheels against movement
in front and at the back by wheel chocks which prevent spontaneous movement of the
tractor.
Carry out adjustment of parking brake control of the tractor without trailer brakes
pneumatic control system in the following way:
- set parking brake control lever 1 (figure 3.7.6) to front position (away from your-
self);
- loosen tightening of locknut 2 of adjusting bolt 3 of the parking brake;
- unscrew or screw adjusting bolt 3 so that, when shifting parking brake control lever
1 towards yourself with a force from 200 to 210 N latch retains in the third or fourth tooth
space of sector "A" for dry friction brakes (which corresponds to the third or fourth click
when engaging the parking brake) or on the second or third tooth of sector "A" for wet
brakes (which corresponds to the second and third click when engaging the parking
