3.8 Pneumatic system

3.8.1 General information

On tractors "BELARUS-80.1/82.1/820" with a universal cabin (canopy frame or cano-
py base on the basis of UC) of basic configuration a one-line pneumatic drive of the brakes
of the agricultural machines coupled with the tractor is installed, as well as for tyre inflation
and other purposes, when energy of the compressed air is required. Upon request a pneu-
matic compressor with a valve without pneumatic equipment can be installed on your tractor.
Upon request tractor configuration can be without pneumatic compressor and without
pneumatic equipment.
On tractors "BELARUS-80.1/82.1" with canopy frame or canopy base on the basis of
a small cabin of basic configuration a pneumatic compressor with a valve is installed. Upon
request tractor configuration can be without pneumatic compressor and without pneumatic
equipment.
ATTENTION:
80.1/82.1/820" BEFORE CONNECTING OR DISCONNECTING PNEUMATIC LINES OF
THE TRACTOR AND THE AGRICULTURAL MACHINE COUPLED WITH IT! CONNEC-
TION OF THE PNEUMATIC LINES OF THE TRACTOR AND THE AGRICULTURAL MA-
CHINE SHALL BE CARRIED OUT WITH NO PRESSURE IN THE TRACTOR PNEUMATIC
SYSTEM!
ATTENTION: ADJUSTMENT OPERATIONS OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND
BRAKES DRIVE OF THE MACHINE COUPLED WITH THE TRACTOR AS WELL AS
TROUBLESHOOTING OF THE MALFUNCTION IN THEM SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT
WITH NONRUNNING ENGINE AND WITH THE TRACTOR IN HORIZONTAL POSITION,
WHICH SHALL BE IMMOLBILIZED BY WHEEL CHOCKS, PREVENTING SPONTANE-
OUS MOVEMENT OF THE TRACTOR!

3.8.2 Single-line pneumatic drive

3.8.2.1 Operation of single-line pneumatic drive.

Single-line pneumatic drive provides brakes control of the agricultural machines
coupled with the tractor, which are equipped with one-line pneumatic drive of the brakes,
as well as tyre inflation. The pneumatic drive diagram is shown in figure 3.8.1.
Air intake into pneumatic compressor 1 (figure 3.8.1) is carried out from the engine
intake manifold. In pneumatic compressor 1 the air is compressed and is supplied into cyl-
inder 6 through pressure regulator 2, which maintains the required pressure in the cylinder.
Compressed air flows through pipeline 9 to brake valve 13 from the cylinder. Brake valve
13 is connected by coupling head 7 by connection pipeline 8.
Valve type coupling head 7 is mounted in the pneumatic drive. The valve of the
coupling head prevents air outflow when the pneumatic drive is used without a coupled
machine (for example, when inflating tyres) and during emergency uncoupling of the cou-
pled machine. When connecting pipeline of the coupled machine with the tractor pipeline
the valve of coupling head opens, providing compressed air flow from the tractor pneumat-
ic drive to the pneumatic drive of the coupled machine.
When coupling agricultural machine with one-line pneumatic drive head of the agri-
cultural machine connects to coupling head 7 and air flows into the pneumatic drive of the
agricultural machine. When you press brakes pedals or engage the parking brake com-
pressed air flows out through brake valve 13 from the connection pipeline 8 into the at-
mosphere. In this case air distributor actuates on the agricultural machine, supplying com-
pressed air from the cylinders of the agricultural machine into the brake chambers, and the
agricultural machine is put on the brakes. In case of emergency uncoupling of the trailed
machine coupling heads get detached, the air flows from the pipeline of the agricultural
machine into the atmosphere and the agricultural machine is automatically put on the
brakes.
