3.2.4 Clutch casing

The clutch casing of tractors "BELARUS-80.1/82.1/820" can be equipped with a
mechanical gear reduction unit (figure 3.2.5), with a reverse reduction gear (figure 3.2.6),
with a synchronized gear reduction unit (figure 3.2.7).
Clutch casing 7 (figure 3.2.5-3.2.8) can be hypothetically divided into two parts: dry
compartment and gear system.
In the dry compartment of the clutch casing there is coupling clutch mounted on the
engine flywheel 1. On the bracket of shifter 6, which is also located in the dry compart-
ment, shifter with release bearing 5 is mounted, the trunnions of the shifter enter the eye-
loop of clutch disengagement forks 3. In one of the shifter trunnions a grease fitting is
screwed in, designated for greasing of the release bearing.
Gear system includes continuous double-speed drive of the rear PTO, HLL pump
drive and gear reduction unit.
Continuous double-speed PTO drive is intended for getting two rotation modes on
the power take-off shaft shank: 540 min
drive, installed on two bearings 8 and 12, is connected through the splines to floating
bushing 2 of the clutch bearing plate and is in constant mesh with two driven gears of
the PTO drive 26 and 27.

gears to driven shaft 22 is carried out through connection gear coupling 24, mounted on
splines of the driven shaft. Gear coupling is engaged with one of the gears with the help of
control shaft 23.
HLL pump drive is carried out by gear 10, installed on two ball bearings 9 of axis 11.
Gear of the drive 10 is in constant mesh with gear shaft 30.
The mechanical gear reduction unit (figure 3.2.5) is intended for getting additional
number of speeds, necessary for operation with agricultural machines. Gear reduction unit
is located between the clutch casing and the gearbox. On output shaft 14 of the clutch cas-
ing connection gear coupling 19 is installed moveably on splines. When with the help of
control mechanism 18 gear coupling 19 engages with drive gear of the speed reduction
unit 16, which is mounted on the output shaft on rollers 17, then gear reduction unit is
turned on (step-down gearing of the gear reduction unit). If gear coupling engages with
driven gear 20, mounted on the splines of the gearbox primary shaft, then gear reduction
unit is turned off (step-up gearing of the gear reduction unit). The gear reduction unit shift
lever is brought into the tractor cabin.
