Joint plate of brake pedals 23 is designed for simultaneous braking with the right
and left brakes.
2.12.1.4 When you press pedal 20 (figure 2.1.1) the engine speed increases.
2.12.2 Rear axle differential lock control
When you press pedal 24 against the stop (figure 2.1.1) the rear axle differential
lock engages, when you remove the foot from the pedal – the rear axle DL disengages.
The rear axle differential lock is used for short-term locking of rear wheels when overcom-
ing obstacles.
When HPS instead of HSC is installed on tractors "BELARUS-80.1/82.1" there is no
pedal 24. To control the differential lock instead of pedal 24 handle 29 is installed, which
has the following positions:
- "DL off" – the handle is in the foremost front position long the tractor;
- "DL automatically on" – the handle is pushed back to the middle position and
fixed by turning it to 90 clockwise. When the front wheels of the tractor are turned to an
angle more than 13 from the rectilinear movement the differential lock is disabled;
- "DL forcibly engaged (regardless of the position of the front wheels)" – the
handle is pushed in the rear most non-fixed position. If you release the handle, it returns to
the position "DL disabled" by the action of the spring.
TRACTOR OPERATION WITH THE REAR AXLE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK EN-
GAGED AT A TRAVEL SPEED 13 KM/H IS FORBIDDEN.
TRACTOR OPERATION ON HARD SURFACE ROADS WITH THE REAR AX-
LE DIFFERENTIAL LOCK CONSTANTLY ENGAGED IS FORBIDDEN.
