6.4.7 General technical maintenance

6.4.7.1 General instructions
As and when necessary (i.e. when the relevant pressure and clogging sensors indi-
cate so) perform maintenance service listed in this subsection 6.4.7.
6.4.7.2 Operation 72. Adjustment of oil pressure in engine lubrication system
Constantly monitor the oil pressure value on the pressure indicator located on the
dashboard (if the engine operates with the rated rotation frequency and the coolant tem-
perature is in the range 85...95  С, the oil pressure shall be at the level 0.25...0.35 MPa,
while for the cold engine the pressure value of up to 0.6 MPa is allowed);
If the lubrication system is in good condition (oil pipeline joints are tight, the safety
valve in the oil filter is in good order, etc.), but the lubrication pressure value either con-
stantly exceeds 0.35 MPa or is constantly below 0.25 MPa during the engine running un-
der rated speed with the normal coolant temperature, it is required to adjust oil pressure in
the engine lubrication system.
Adjust the oil pressure in the engine lubrication system as follows:
- undo plug 4 (Figure 6.4.63), remove gasket 3;
- using screwdriver 5 turn adjusting plug 6 in the channel of the oil filter body 2 by
one turn to the side of increasing or decreasing the pressure value (depending on the ac-
tual pressure);
- mount gasket 3 and do plug 4 in;
- if required repeat the above adjustment operations.
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO ADJUST OIL PRESSURE IN THE LUBRICATION SYSTEM
WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING.
a) For tractors with full-flow
indecomposable oil filter
1 – full-flow indecomposable oil filter (centrifugal); 2 – filter body; 3 – plug gasket;
4 – valve plug; 5 – screwdriver; 6 – adjusting plug.
