- adjust the axial travel of turning shaft as indicated in section 3.14.2 "Adjustment of
turning shaft axial travel".

6.4.5.7 Operation 54 Change of oil in HPS body
Note – The operation shall be performed on tractors with installed HPS or HSC with
HPS body. The operation of oil change in HPS housing shall be performed simultaneously
with washing the oil filter of HPS body.
Before oil change, heat up the oil in HPS body to reach the normal operating tem-
perature by means of starting the engine and turning the steering wheel against the stop
and holding it in such position until the oil is heated.
To change oil in HPS body, do the following:
- put the tractor on a flat horizontal ground. The engine shall be stopped. Engage
the parking brake and lock the wheels at the front and back against spontaneous move-
ment with wheel cocks;
- raise the hood as indicated in subsection 6.2 "Providing access to tractor compo-
nents for technical maintenance."
- unscrew drain plug 1 (Figure 6.4.45) on the body of supply pump 2 of HPS (HSC
with HPS body), drain oil into a special container for used oil;
- place back drain plug 1;
- remove cover 3 of oil filler neck (Figure 6.4.43 and Figure 6.4.44) on the upper cov-
er of the body of HPS (HSC with HPS body) and fill the HPS body with fresh oil. Normal oil
level in HPS body shall be between the upper (MAX) and lower (MIN) marks of the oil dip-
stick as indicated in section 6.4.2.5 "Operation 14. Check of oil level in hydraulic power
steering body".
- place back cover 3 of oil filler neck.
