Installation Of Distributor On Hydraulic Power Steering Housing - Belarus 80.1 Operation Manual

To tighten nut of sector 22 take off upper cover 25 of the hydraulic booster housing.
Tighten nut of sector 22 with a torque from 280 до 320 N•m and install upper cover 25.
To adjust safety valve connect a manometer with a graduation scale not less than
10 MPa into the pressure line or into the valve cover instead of plug 15. Turn the steering
wheel as far as it will go, give the engine maximum speed with the steering wheel turned
as far as it will go and turn adjusting screw 17 of the safety valve until the pressure gage
shows 8.8 MPa. Adjust at oil temperatures between 45°C and 55°C.
3.13.3 Installation of the distributor valve on the hydraulic power steering housing
During tractor operation the necessity can arise to remove the distributor valve for re-
placement of the sealing rings, washing of the parts and so on. Install the distributor valve in
the following way:
- check if there are sealing rings on the ends of the distributor valve and if spool 14 (fig-
ure 3.13.1) is correctly installed in the body of the distributor valve. Mount the spool so, that its
end without chamfer on the outer diameter faces the hydraulic booster housing. Incorrect
mounting of the spool in the distributor valve body will lead to abrupt increase of the turning
force;
- mount the distributor valve without the cover and fasten it to the hydraulic booster
housing with two bolts 5 (figure 3.13.3), having first placed washers 4 under the heads of bolts
5 as thick as the cover flange.
- mount thrust bearing 11 (figure 3.13.1), washer 12 and tighten spherical nut 13 ac-
cording to subsection 3.13.2 "Adjustments of hydraulic power steering".
