3.7.2 Check/adjustment of service brakes control

3.7.2.1 Check the adjustment of the service brakes control.
Full travel of the right brake pedal when pressing with a force from 120 to 130 N
shall be within the limits from 105 to 115 mm, and the left pedal travel when pressed with
the same force shall be 5-20 mm less.
If right and left pedal travel does not correspond to the specified values, adjust the
service brakes control.
3.7.2.2 Before carrying out adjustment of the service brakes control place the tractor
on the level horizontal ground. The engine should be killed. Block the wheels against
movement in front and at the back by wheel chocks, which prevent spontaneous move-
ment of the tractor.
3.7.2.3 Carry out adjustment of the service brakes control in the following way:
- install pads A of the pedals (figure 3.7.3) in one plane with a precision from 2 to 3
mm (leveling of the pads by bending legs Б is allowed);
- unscrew locknuts 1of adjusting bolts 2 of the left and right brakes;
- with the help of adjusting bolts 2 adjust the service brakes so that, when a force
from 120 to 130 N is applied full travel of right pedal 4 would be within the limits from 105 to
115 mm, and travel of left pedal 3 would be 5...20 mm less than right pedal travel;
- tighten locknuts 1.
ATTENTION: IT IS OBLIGATORY TO CARRY OUT FINAL CHECK OF CORRECTNESS
OF THE SERVICE BRAKES CONTROL ADJUSTMENT. FINAL CHECK OF SERVICE
BRAKES CONTROL ADJUSTMENT IS CARRIED OUT BY BRAKING THE TRACTOR WITH
THE INTERLOCKED PEDALS. NONSIMULTANEITY OF WHEELS BRAKING START SHALL
NOT EXCEED 1 M (BY TYRE PRINT). LENGTH OF BRAKING SHALL NOT BE MORE THAN
6 M AT A SPEED FROM 17 TO 18 KM/H WITH A FORCE NOT MORE THAN 600 N. IF
THESE CONDITIONS ARE NOT FULFILLED, REPEAT ADJUSTMENT OF THE SERVICE
BRAKES CONTROL (CHANGE THE VALUE OF FULL PEDAL TRAVEL RATE, BUT ONLY
WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE VALUES SPECIFIED IN SUBSECTION 3.7.3.1)!
