1.3 Tractor composition

Tractor framework – semi-frame.
Undercarriage of tractors "BELARUS-80.1": front steering wheels and rear driving
wheels, with pneumatic tyres of low pressure. The wheels can be twinned by means of
spacers.
Undercarriage of tractors "BELARUS-82.1/820": front and rear driving wheels with
pneumatic tyres of low pressure. Steering front wheels. Rear wheels can be twinned by
means of spacers.
Tractors "BELARUS-80.1/82.1/820 is equipped with 4-stroke piston four-cylinder in-
ner combustion engine with in-line vertical arrangement of cylinders, with direct injection of
diesel fuel and compression ignition.
System of engine lubrication is combined, some parts are lubricated under pres-
sure, some – by spattering. The lubrication system consists of an oil sump, oil pump, liq-
uid-oil heat exchanger, full-flow non-demountable oil filter with paper filtering element (for
tractors supplied to countries with tropical climate – centrifugal oil filter).
The engine fuel supply system consists of fuel pump, injectors, low- pressure pipe-
lines, high-pressure fuel pipelines, fuel course filter, fuel fine filter.
System of engine start-up is electric starter. A means of start-up facilitation under
low ambient temperatures are the heating plugs (tractors supplied to countries with tropical
climate are without heating plugs).
System of air delivery consists of an air duct and an air cleaner. The air cleaner is
combined with dry centrifugal (monocyclon) and oil-bath air cleaner.
System of engine cooling is closed-type with coolant compulsory circulation execut-
ed by a centrifugal pump. The water pump is driven by a V-belt from the crankshaft pulley.
For acceleration of engine warming up after start-up and for automatic control of a temper-
ature mode at various loadings and ambient temperatures there is a thermostat, installed
on the pump line.
The coupling clutch is frictional, single-disc, spring-loaded, with mechanical control.
The CC overlays are asbestos free (optionally ceramic-metal).
The gearbox is mechanical, fixed-ratio, with mechanical gear reduction unit.
The rear axle is with the main drive, differential and final drives.
The front driving axle has an axle drive gear, self-locking differential, final gears. On
tractor "BELARUS-82.1" it is with bevel wheel gear group. On tractor "BELARUS-820" it is
with planetary spur wheel gear group. The front driving axle drive is a transfer box with au-
tomatic engagement of the FDA, two cardan shafts and intermediate bearing with safety
coupling. The FDA drive control is mechanical.
The front driving axle of tractor "BELARUS-80.1" has a possibility of changing the
track of front wheels by extending cams.
Brakes: service brakes are multidisc, located on final drive pinion shafts; the parking
brake is disc-type, connected by a brake shaft to the differential crosspiece, with inde-
pendent manual control. The trailer brake control drive is pneumatic, interlocked with trac-
tor brakes control
The rear power takeoff shaft is continuous dual-speed (540 and 1000 min-1) and
ground -speed, the direction of rotation is clockwise when viewed from the shaft end face.
There are PTO shaft end extensions: PTO shaft end extension 1 (6 splines, 540 min-1),
PTO shaft end extension 1c (8 splines, 540 min-1), PTO shaft end extension 2 (21 splines,
1000 min-1).
The side semi-continuous PTO is dual-speed 571 min-1 and 755 min-1. The direc-
tion of rotation is anticlockwise when viewed at the shaft end face; PTO shaft end exten-
sion 1c as per GOST 3480 (8 splines), PTO 1 (6 splines).
