3.12.3 Hydraulic cylinder of steering

The differential hydraulic cylinder of steering is mounted in front of the front axle
and the FDA-822 body (figure 3.12.2, figure 3.14.1, figure 3.12.1) or at the back of the
FDA-72 body (figure 3.12.1) and provides turning of the tractor guiding wheels by means
of the steering linkage. The hydraulic cylinder rod is connected to swivel lever 9 of the left
wheel gear group through cone pin 10, and hydraulic cylinder body is connected to bracket
13, mounted on the FDA body.
The hydraulic cylinder consists of body 5 (figure 3.12.5), rod 6, piston 17, front cov-
er 11, swivel nut 12. The piston is secured on the rod by nut 2, which is locked in the slots
of rod 6 by center punching of the collar. In cover 11 wiper 13, rod sealing components 14
and 15 and guide rings 16, which prevent friction of the rod and the cover, are mounted.
Combined sealing 3 is mounted on the piston, which prevents friction of the piston and the
sleeve of the body. In the eyeloops of the body and rod joint spherical bearings 1 are
mounted, which have channels on inner ring for greasing of the friction surfaces. Joints are
closed from contamination by bushings 19 and protective rubber boots 18.
Greasing of the joints is carried out through grease fittings 12 (figure 3.12.1, figure
3.12.2) in cone pins 10.
1 – joint spherical bearing; 2 – piston nut; 3 – piston sealing; 4, 7, 10 – sealing
rings; 5 – body; 6 – rod; 8 – protective ring; 9 – lock screw; 11 – front cover; 12 – swivel
nut; 13 – wiper; 14, 15 – rod sealing components; 16 – guide rings; 17 – piston;
18 – protective boot (for cylinder Ц63); 19 – bushing (for cylinder Ц63); 20 – lock ring.

3.12.4 Alarm of HSC hydraulic system emergency state

In drain hydraulic line "T" (figure 3.12.1, figure 3.12.2) at the exit of dosing pump 4
sensor 6 of emergency oil pressure in the hydraulic system of steering control is installed.
When oil pressure in the drain hydraulic line falls below 0,08 MPa (due to lack of oil flow
because of the insufficient oil level in the oil tank, failure of the feed pump or hoses break-
age) the sensor actuates, and the pilot lamp (red color) of emergency oil pressure drop in
the HSC hydraulic system lights up on the pilot lamp unit.
ATTENTION: WHEN PILOT LAMP LIGHTS UP STOP THE ENGINE IMMEDIATE-
LY AND FIND OUT THE CAUSE OF THE OIL PRESSURE DROP IN THE HSC TO
AVOID BREAKDOWN OR FAILURE OF THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM UNITS.
