2.28.5 Steering of tractors with canopy frame or canopy base on the basis of a small

cabin

2.28.5.1 General information
Tractors "BLARUS-80.1/82.1" are equipped with a hydraulic power steering and
a double-spoke steering wheel.
Upon request the hydrostatic steering control with dosing pump on the hydraulic
booster housing can be installed on tractor "BELARUS-80.1".
2.28.5.2 Double-spoke steering wheel adjustments
The steering wheel has the following adjustments:
- height adjustment, along steering shaft axis;
- horizon tilt angle adjustment;
To change height positioning of steering wheel 3 (figure 2.28.6) proceed as follows:
- unscrew chuck 1 by 3-5 revolutions;
- shift steering wheel 3 to a necessary position;
- screw in chuck 1 with max. possible force of hand fingers and re-mount cover 2.
The range of the steering wheel height adjustment is 100 mm.

The steering column can be tilted and locked in four positions from 25 ° to 40 ° with
an interval of 5 °. To tilt the steering column, pull handle 2 up (figure 2.28.7), tilt the steer-
ing column to a comfortable position for work, and while releasing handle 2, gently rock the
steering column in the longitudinal direction until it locks firmly.
When the steering column is locked in the forward most position, set the gear lever
to the "Neutral" position, then move it to the left most position and holding it in this position
until the engine starts completely, start the engine. Then, with the tractor standing, make
sure that the steering is operating properly.
