3.4.5.2 Rear axle differential lock control with the help of the pedal

The differential lock control consists of lock valve-cock, pedal, mounted on the floor
of the cabin, oil lines and hydraulic fittings.
The differential lock control is carried out from the cabin by pedal 1 (figure 3.4.3),
which through the levers acts on the lock valve-cock, located under the cabin floor.

Lock valve-cock 2 (figure 3.12.1) of the differential is built-in in the HSC drain hydraulic
line and controls oil flow, supplied to lock coupling. The hydraulic diagram of tractors "BELA-
RUS-80.1/82.1/820" lock control is shown in figure 3.12.3.
Pedal 1 (figure 3.4.3) of the differential lock control has two positions:
- "Lock off" – upper most position of the pedal (pedal is not pressed);
- "Lock positively activated" – when pressing pedal against the stop and holding it in
this position. Used for short-term locking of rear wheels when overcoming road obstacles
in field works and hauling operations and when performing various works with significant
relative slipping of rear wheels. Non-fixed position, when you release the pedal it returns to
its initial position "Lock off".
In the off position (tractor pedal is not pressed) oil from the dosing pump of the
steering control passes freely through lock valve-cock 2 (figure 3.12.1) and drains into oil
tank 3.
When you press pedal 10 (figure 3.4.4) levers 11, 18 turn spool 32 of lock valve-
cock, which directs oil flow under pressure from 0,9 to 1,3 MPa into the lock coupling and
the differential is locked.
When you release the pedal pull-back spring 16 raises the pedal, the spool turns in-
to initial position, oil from lock coupling drains through the lock valve-cock into the oil tank
of the hydraulic system and the coupling is unlocked.
