3. Make sure that the bodies of bevel gear groups (tractors with FDA with bevel
wheel gear groups) or swivel knuckles (tractors with non-driving front axle) are extended
for identical distance "B" (Figure 6.4.17) from the body of FDA or front axle tube, respec-
tively.
4. Measure distance "A" at the height of wheel centers at the front, and make visible
marks in measurements points.
5. Disengage the parking brake, move the tractor forward in such a way that the
front wheels turn by half revolution and measure distance "C" between rim edges on wheel
center level from behind in the points determined and marked before.
6. If the value ("C"-"A") ranges within 0 to 8 mm that means that the toe-in is correct-
ly adjusted. If the value ("C"-"A") is less than 0 or more than 8 mm, do the following:
a) leaving the tractor position unchanged, unscrew lock nuts 1 and 3;
b) by rotating steering link tube 2 make the value ("C"-"A") fit into range from 0 to
8 mm;
c) repeat operations, described in subparagraphs 4 and 5.
d) if value ("C"-"A") falls within the limits of 0 to 8 mm, tighten steering link lock nuts 1
and 3 with torque of 100 to 140 Nꞏm, leaving steering link length unchanged.
6.4.3.4.3 Check / adjustment of front wheels' toe-in on tractors with HPS (HSC with
HPS body)
Adjustment is carried out as follows:
1. Set the required tyre pressure in accordance with subsection 4.2.8 "Selecting of
optimal inner pressure in tyres depending on operational conditions and load on tractor ax-
les, instructions for use of tyres" of section 4 "Intended use of tractor".
2.Make sure that gauge stick 2 (figure 3.13.2) is immersed to the max in the body of
differential lock sensor (drop arm 3 (Figure 6.4.18) in middle position) with the tractor front
wheels set to position of straightforward movement. If necessary, adjust by rotating
tubes 2 and 5 of steering links.
3. Set the front wheels in straightforward position by way of driving the tractor
straight ahead for at least 3 meters along the horizontal level ground with a hard surface
and then stopping. Engage the parking break to avoid tractor movement.
4. Make sure that the bodies of bevel gear groups (tractors with FDA with bevel
wheel gear groups) or swivel knuckles (tractors with non-driving front axle) are extended
for identical distance "B" (Figure 6.4.18) from the body of FDA or front axle tube, respec-
tively.
5. Measure distance "A" at the height of wheel centers at the front, and make visible
marks in measurements points.
6. Disengage the parking brake, move the tractor forward in such a way that the
front wheels turn by half revolution and measure distance "C" between rim edges on wheel
center level from behind in the points determined and marked before.
7. If the value ("C"-"A") ranges within 0 to 8 mm and gauge stick 2 (Figure 3.13.2) is
immersed into differential lock sensor body to the maximum, that means that the toe-in is cor-
rectly adjusted. If the value ("C"-"A") (Figure 6.4.18) is less than 0 or more than 8 mm, or
gauge stick 2 (figure 3.13.2) is not immersed into differential lock sensor body to the maxi-
mum, do the following
a) leaving the tractor position unchanged, unscrew lock nuts 1 and 4 (Figure
6.4.18);
