Depth control can be used when coupling tractor with mounted implements with
supporting wheels. It lies in the fact that the specified cultivation depth is achieved by set-
ting the support wheel of coupled implement at a certain height.
For depth control set switch 4 (figure 2.28.12) to middle position N, after raising
the RLL in the upper most position. To raise the implement shift handle 2 (figure 2.28.11)
backwards until it stops and hold it until the end of raising, whereafter the handle has to
automatically return to neutral position "N". Lowering is done by shifting handle 2 forward
in the control area until the implement starts moving down.
Upper link 2 (figure 2.28.12) of the mounted implement shall be mounted on the
lower hole of clevis 1 (position "B" in figure 2.28.12);
When using depth control method, if mounted implement is attached to the RLL, it is
forbidden to set handle 2 into position "positive lowering" (forward until it stops). Use posi-
tion "positive lowering" only when attaching the implement to the tractor lift linkage. For
positive lowering turn handle 2 in the forward most position. After releasing it has to return
to the control area (intermediate neutral), and the RLL lowering has to stop.
Note – When the distributors Р80-3/1-222, РП70-890.1 (without draft control) are in-
stalled RLL control is done by handle of the distributor. The control rules of the RLL with the dis-
tributors Р80-3/1-222, РП70-890.1 are given in subsection 2.16.3.1.
