Recommended Action
Delete data volume pairs of the specified
remote storage system. Then delete
journals, if any. Ensure that there are no
data volume pairs and journals, then
retry the operation.
Check the SSB log, then contact HP
Technical Support.
Check the status of the pinned tracks in
the primary data volume, and clear the
pinned tracks.
Check the status of the pinned tracks in
the secondary data volume, and clear
the pinned tracks.
Check whether the primary data volume
is in any of the following conditions:
Data in the primary data volume is
being copied; correction copy or
drive copy is in progress.
The primary data volume is in
correction access condition.
The primary data volume is blocked.
The primary data volume is being
maintained.
The access attribute of the primary
data volume is Read Only.
Check whether the secondary data
volume in the remote storage system,
which are connected from hosts or the
SVP, is in any of the following
conditions:
The secondary data volume is being
used by Dual Copy.
The secondary data volume is being
used by XRC Replication.
The secondary data volume is being
used by PPRC or Remote Copy.
The secondary data volume is being
used by Concurrent Copy.
The access attribute of the secondary
data volume is Read Only.
See the INSTALLATION SECTION and
the OPENPLATFORM SECTION in the
maintenance manual to check if the
device emulation of the primary data
volume is supported.
Check if the secondary data volume is
online. If the secondary data volume is
online, vary the volume offline, then retry
the operation. If the secondary data
volume is connected to a VM system,
vary the volume offline from the VM
system.
