2.22 Electric Fuses and Electromagnetic Relays

2.22.1 General

The electric fuses are intended for protection from the electric circuits' overloads
and short-circuits.
WARNING: TO PREVENT THE TRACTOR ELECTRIC WIRING BURNING, NEV-
ER USE FUSES WITH RATED CURRENT INTENSITY HIGHER THAN STATED IN THIS
SECTION. IF THE FUSE BURNS-OUT FREQUENTLY, FIND THE CAUSE AND REME-
DY MALFUNCTION!

2.22.2 The Switching Unit and Fuses of the Electric Equipment

The switching unit 3 (Figure 2.22.1) is intended for the power supply, its distribution
among the tractor electric equipment consumers and for the electric circuits protection
from short-circuit and current load exceeding.
Your tractor can be equipped with two types of the switching unit - BKA-7.3722-02
or BK-1-02, which are interchangeable.
The unit 3 installation location is in the cab, on the metal beam for the plastic skirt
fastening, between the instruments panel 4 and front windshield.
To gain access to the unit 3 relays and fuses, unscrew two quick-release screws 1,
then remove the plastic cover 2. The unit is also equipped with the protective plastic jacket
to protect it from dust.
1 – screw; 2 – cover; 3 – switching unit; 4 – instruments panel.
The unit consists of thirty electric fuses 1 (Figure 2.22.2) (FU1-FU30) and eighteen
electromagnetic relays 4 (K1-K7, K9-K19, relay K8 are not installed), which perform power
supply switching for consumers, and set of spare fuses 5. Red indicating LEDs 2, which
are installed on the front panel near each fuse, are intended for indication of corresponding
electric fuse. The green indicating LED 3 is intended for the SU (switching unit) activation
indication.
