2.9.4 Engine control system panel

The engine control system panel is introduced in figure 2.9.2.
1 – button switch of testing activation, 2 – fault testing annunciator, 3 – testing jack, 4 –
panel cover; 5- blind plug.
The button switch of testing activation 1 (figure 2.9.2) is intended to call up active
errors form the memory of the engine electronic control unit by means of light codes, dis-
played by fault testing annunciator 2. This way of testing is alternative in comparison with
information display 21 (figure 2.1.1). Regarding reading and decoding light codes errors
and the recommended actions on fault elimination, it is necessary to refer to the engine
operation manual, attached to your tractor. The detected errors shall be eliminated. To
eliminate the detected faults, please, contact your dealer.
After turning the key of the starter and instrument switch from the position "Off" into
the position "Instruments are on", the system is powered. After powering the system, it car-
ries out a self-check. If there are no errors in the system operation, fault testing annuncia-
tor 2 (figure 2.9.2) on the panel of engine control system shall turn on and go out, which
shows the workability of annunciator 2 lamp and its correct connection to the tractor on-
board system.
Special testing jack 3 is intended to connect system testing devices to carry out an
extended service diagnostics of the engine in operation. The specified system testing de-
vices are recommended for dealer centers.

2.10 Steering

2.10.1 General information

Tractor "BELARUS-2022.6" is equipped with hydrostatic steering control (HSC), de-
signed for control of guide wheels turn and decrease of steering force while the feed pump
is operating. If the feed pump fails to operate or to supply oil to the system control circuit
(the engine is off or there is a failure in HSC), the turn is carried out in the manual mode at
which significant steering effort is required.
