ceeds the specified limits, it is required to make adjustments doing the following operations:
- uncrew counter nuts of rod-bolts 6 and 10 (Figure 5.4.26) by several revolutions;
- screw in and screw out adjusting rod-bolts 6 and 10 of the right and left service

6. Check the efficiency of service brakes operability during tractor movement along
dry road with hard surface with the clutch off. When the interlocked brake pedals are de-
pressed with the force of 550 to 600 N, the length of braking path shall not exceed 6,4m
with the tractor travel speed of 20 km/h. Unevenness of tractor movement in the process of
braking shall not exceed 0,5m. If necessary, adjust the simultaneity of braking start by
means of one of adjustable bolt-links 6 or 10.

5.4.3.5 Operation 42. Check / adjustment of parking brake control

ATTENTION: CHECKS AND ADJUSTMENTS OF THE PARKING BRAKE AS WELL

THE PARKING BRAKE!
Before making adjustments of the parking brake control, adjust service brakes first.
Check of the parking brake efficiency means that the tractor shall hold back on a
slope of not less than 18% as you apply the force of 350-400 N to lever handle 1 (Figure
5.4.27). If this condition is not met it is required to carry out adjustment of the parking brake
control.
Adjustment of the parking brake control of the tractor without pneumatic control sys-

A or slot B of quadrant 2 (which corresponds to the second or the third click as the parking
brake is getting engaged), when the effort of 350-400 N is applied to the handle of lever 1.
If the parking brake is adjusted correctly, the tractor shall hold back on a slope of not
less than 18% as you apply the force of 350-400 N to the handle of lever 1. If necessary ad-
