Trouble locating and clearing procedures (continued)
System test report identifies defective components.
If
audio card test failed, and the
failure is on eof the Headset in
Detect tests
audio card test failed
audio card test passes
the headset or audio card are not
defective
This procedure is complete and successful. Remove the system disk from
the drive and return to common procedures to place a TOPS MPX terminal in
service.
Do
Perform the following steps:
1. Verify that the headset jacks
on the position are operational
(e.g. broken wire on jack).
2. If problem is not found in the
headset jacks, use common pro-
cedures to replace TOPS MPX
terminal
Perform the following steps:
1. Verify cable to digital tele-
phony card is connected and op-
erational.
2. If you find and correct a prob-
lem with the digitial telephony
card cable, return to step 7.
3. If you do not find a problem
with the digital telephony card
cable, use common procedures
to replace TOPS MPX terminal
