Risk of injury or damage to equipment
When you replace a cooling unit, do not wear jewelry (for
example, rings, bracelets, or necklaces).
WARNING
Possible equipment damage
Do not remove power to the cooling unit for more than 30
minutes. Extended power removal can cause the equipment
to overheat and cause damage.
Obtain a replacement for the cooling unit assembly.
Record the cabinet number.
Note: Locate the cabinet number (for example, D00) above the doors on
the front of the cabinet.
Consult office records or operating company personnel. Determine if power
to the cooling unit connects through a power distribution center (PDC) or a
cabinetized PDC (CPDC).
If power to the cooling unit
connects through a PDC
connects through a CPDC
Locate the cooling unit fuses.
Note: The cooling unit fuse cartridges are on the front panel of the PDC.
The fuse cartridges contain two cooling unit fuses. One fuse cartridge is
for the side A power feed. The other fuse cartridge is for the side B power
feed. The cabinet number (recorded in step 2) is above each fuse
cartridge. The letters SN CU (SuperNode cooling unit) are below each
fuse cartridge.
