Between position measurement and pulse output, there is a deadtime
(delay) of about 1 ms. If the deadtime compensation is set to 1 in
parameter C014, Encoder emulation type, then this
compensated for in the drive.
At the end of each time interval, the signal levels can remain constant
for a certain period of time. During the time interval T
frequency cannot be changed . This effect is especially noticeable at high
frequencies, i.e., when the number of graduation marks is great and/or at
high speeds.
The following diagnostic messages are generated with incremental
encoder emulation:
• F253 Incremental encoder emulator: Pulse frequency too high
The output frequency for the set number of graduation marks exceeds the

value of 1024 kHz.
• Decrement

• Reduce travel velocity
output of all graduation marks detected in the interval is monitored and

was incorrect in this case, leading to a position offset. This error occurs
only during extremely long interrupt periods.
• All software options not absolutely required are disabled, e.g.,
processing of the second analog input, signal output via the two
analog outputs, etc.
