Diagnostic Procedure with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Step
1 CHECK THE VDCCM&H/U INPUT VOLTAGE.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Disconnect the connector from the
VDCCM&H/U.
3) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
4) Measure the voltage between VDCCM&H/
U connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B310) No. 9 (+) — Chassis ground (–):
(B310) No. 14 (+) — Chassis ground (–):
2 CHECK INSTALLATION OF MOTOR
GROUND.
3 CHECK THE VDCCM&H/U GROUND CIR-
CUIT.
1) Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2) Measure the resistance between
VDCCM&H/U connector and chassis ground.
Connector & terminal
(B310) No. 6 — Chassis ground:
(B310) No. 10 — Chassis ground:
4 CHECK VDCCM&H/U MOTOR RELAY.
Measure the resistance between VDCCM&H/U
connector terminals.
Terminals
No. 9 — No. 10:
5 CHECK POOR CONTACT IN CONNECTORS.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
6 CHECK THE VDCCM&H/U.
1) Connect all the connectors.
2) Erase the memory.
3) Perform the Inspection Mode.
4) Read the DTC.
7 CHECK OTHER DTC DETECTION.
VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) (DIAGNOSTICS)
Check
Is the voltage 10 — 15 V?
Is the motor ground terminal
installation bolt tightened 33
N·m (3.3 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)?
Is the resistance less than 0.5
Ω?
Is the resistance more than 1
MΩ?
Is there poor contact in con-
nector between generator, bat-
tery and VDCCM&H/U?
Is the same DTC displayed?
Is any other DTC displayed?
VDC(diag)-75
Yes No
Go to step 2. Repair the
VDCCM&H/U
power supply cir-
cuit.
Go to step 3. Tighten the motor
ground terminal
installation bolt.
Go to step 4. Repair the
VDCCM&H/U
ground harness.
Go to step 5.
Replace the
VDCCM&H/U.
Repair the con- Go to step 6.
nector.
