aaa authentication dot1x

Use the aaa authentication dot1x Global Configuration mode command to specify
how ports are authenticated when 802.1x is enabled. You can select either
authentication by a RADIUS server, no authentication, or both methods. Use the no
form of this command to restore the default configuration.
Syntax
aaa authentication dot1x default
no aaa authentication dot1x default
Parameters
method1 [method2]—Specify at least one method from the following list:

Uses the list of all RADIUS servers for
authentication
none
Uses no authentication
Default Configuration
The default method is Radius.
Command Mode
Global Configuration mode
User Guidelines
You can select either authentication by a RADIUS server, no authentication (none),
or both methods. If both RADIUS and none are selected, authentication begins
with the RADIUS server. If no RADIUS server answers, no authentication is
performed.
If you require that authentication succeeds even the RADIUS server is not found or
returns an error, specify none as the final method in the command line.
