Command Line Interface
Default Setting
Default path cost is determined by port speed and path cost method (long or
short) as shown below:
Interface
Port-channel
Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps)
Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps)
Ethernet (10 Mbps)
Command Modes
Interface Configuration (Ethernet, port-channel) mode
Command Usage
The path cost method is configured using the spanning-tree pathcost
method Global Configuration mode command.
Example
The following example configures the spanning-tree cost on Ethernet port 1/e15 to
35000.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e15
Console(config-if)# spanning-tree cost 35000
