Command Line Interface

name (mst)

The name MST Configuration mode command defines the configuration name. To
return to the default setting, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
name string
no name
Parameters
• string — MST configuration name. Case-sensitive (Range: 1-32
characters).
Default Setting
The default name is a bridge ID.
Command Mode

Command Usage
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example defines the configuration name as region1.
Console(config) # spanning-tree mst configuration
Console(config-mst) # name region 1
