The dot1x timeout re-authperiod Interface Configuration mode command sets the
number of seconds between re-authentication attempts. To return to the default
configuration, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
dot1x timeout re-authperiod seconds
no dot1x timeout re-authperiod
Parameters
• seconds — Number of seconds between re-authentication attempts.
(Range: 300 - 4294967295)
Default Setting
Re-authentication period is 3600 seconds.

Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode
Command Usage
There are no user guidelines for this command.
Example
The following example sets the number of seconds between re-authentication
attempts, to 300.
Console(config)# interface ethernet 1/e16
Console(config-if)# dot1x timeout re-authperiod 300
