11.2 Replacing components

Replacement of diodes and thyristor modules on devices up to 1200 A

The diode and thyristor modules are fixed using metric ISO screws. During replacement, the

contact surfaces on the heat sink must be cleaned and a new thermal paste applied to the

thyristor module. When screwing the module together with the heat sink, the busbars and

modules, the original screws and locking elements (washer and clamping ring) can be used.

Apply a very thin layer of thermal paste evenly to the modules so that the base plate shines
